Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau have undergone significant changes over the last few years due to the involvement of national and local funding providers. As a result Arc Visual Communications was awarded, through a tender process, the contract to develop a design strategy which enhanced current contemporary and cultural issues, communicating it through brand development, corporate literature, direct mail, advertising and web development.
Research provided a strategic design focus, through an understanding of historical and contemporary pioneering discoveries. Focusing on the academic and business achievements has inspired this strategy to be unique in the way in which the Convention Bureau promote their activities and services. The brand uses Barromean Links to promote the connections between business, tourism and academic environments.
This strategy has continued to be applied to all literature and design activity required by Dundee and Angus Convention Bureau. Arc also encouraged the organisation to establish its own Environmental statement. Environmental considerations have been at the forefront when developing the design strategy, in particular when considering materials and processes to facilitate the outcomes.
