Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre in Dundee relies solely on funding from community initiatives to continue to provide the care and support service needed by families when a individual is diagnosed with Cancer.
Arc Visual Communications was invited to design and produce a Community Cookbook to be sold locally to raise funds for the centre. The Cookbook was launched in November 2012 and sold out within two weeks, raising much needed funds of £10,000. We then developed an Afternoon Tea Collection in Easter 2013 and reprinted the original cookbook.
Later in 2013 Arc Visual Communications was then invited to become involved in the design of a celebratory calendar, which used artists prints, donated by users of the Dundee Contemporary Arts Print facility. The initiative was a concept by local hairdresser Irvine Miskell Reid and through the collaboration of a group of local professional people we raised further much needed funds through an auction of the prints, as well as sales of the calendar.
Arc Visual Communications is proud to be involved in such initiatives whereby the health and well being of local communities can be enhanced by supporting the local services.
